Jane Dunn - Freelance Textile Designer

Since gaining my BA(hons) degree in Design and Applied Arts at Edinburgh College of Art in 2003 I've spent six months working for 'London Portfolio', a textile design studio in the heart of New York, and two years with 'The Collection' in London, and some of the designs displayed on this site date from that period. I now work full time as a free-lance textile designer, and if you are interested in commissioning me to create designs for your company, please contact me using the information below.

In the meantime, please browse the collection of my designs displayed here. My main interest has always been in floral-based design, and I enjoy the challenge of taking this apparently classical theme and making it modern and fresh. The following examples of my work will however, demonstrate a versatility which allows for their application to both furnishing and fashion. Although trained principally in screen printing and heat transfer printing, other skills in which I feel strong are hand embroidery, and freehand machine embroidery.
